SSI Schaefer Systems International, Inc. (“Schaefer”)  is dedicated to protecting our customers’ privacy, and has created this privacy statement (this “Privacy Policy”) in order to demonstrate our commitment to protect and handle the information provided to us through our website www.schaefershelving.com (the “Site”) in a safe, secure and responsible manner.  

This policy sets forth our procedures and practices regarding the information we collect, our use of the information we collect, and how we share the information we collect.  Please understand however that no entity, including Schaefer, can guarantee total security of electronic information.  

Schaefer is not responsible for the privacy policies adopted by advertisers placing ads on the Site or by outside websites with links on the Site. When you access these links, Schaefer’s Privacy Policy provisions no longer apply, as you are leaving the Site and connecting to a website not controlled by Schaefer. We advise you to review the privacy policies of any such linked websites or to contact those outside companies directly for information on their privacy and data collection policies.  

From time to time, it may be necessary for Schaefer to change this Privacy Policy. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of information from customers or visitors to the Site:

Schaefer is very sensitive to the issue of unwanted emails. That is why we do not give, share, exchange or sell email addresses collected from our customers with any of our subsidiaries, affiliates or any other third party company. We use your email address only as a fast and reliable method of communication to send you information you request or to answer your questions.

We will occasionally send you offers or promotions about our company and products, but you will have the ability to “opt out” of such promotional mailings at any time (every promotional email will include a simple procedure to do so). Schaefer will rely upon the email information you provided to send email correspondence to you. Frequent Email Related Issues

• Invalid email address: if you believe an incorrect email address was provided, please let us know as soon as possible what the correct email address is, to enable us to update or records.
• Spam filters: depending on your specific email settings it is possible that your system might view/consider Schaefer as an unknown sender, and therefore a possible spam threat. First, check your spam or junk folders or filters to determine whether the email was redirected here. Second, you may need to add the Site’s email domain name to your approved or safe sender list, address book or other equivalent.
• Please note that certain Internet Service Providers (ISP) and/or email providers filter messages based on content, subject line, or the sender's address and may place your email into a “bulk” or “junk” mail folder or equivalent. Please make sure the Site is on your approved or safe sender list, address book or other equivalent. Occasionally an ISP will institute mail controls that block your email completely without your knowledge. It is important to note that we often do not even receive notice of such a block. The only solution to this problem is for you to be aware of what triggers your ISPs blockage and to make sure your system can receive Schaefer’s email.

The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us. We have put in place commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to adequately safeguard and secure the information we collect on the Site from unauthorized access.

How You Can Change or Remove Information

Editing your information - You are responsible for providing accurate information when registering with any portion of the Site that requires registration, or performing other functions that might require you to submit personally identifiable information to the Site.
